Puerto Vallarta Lock Down

To help slow the spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19, the governor ordered all resorts to close until May 15th. We are hopeful re-open after this date, but if you are planning on coming down at the end of May, please watch your email for updates or contact Dave Stoenner in the U.S at dave@cascadaslegacy.com or 949 322 4016.

Ocho Cascadas Go Fund Me

Our board of directors decided to keep all staff on full salary even though they are required to stay home through April, but because the team rely on tips as a significant portion of their weekly compensation, we have setup a voluntary GoFundMe campaign where members and guests can contribute to help. Please visit the GoFundMe page if you would like to help. 100% of the funds go direct to the on-site team.

Annual Meeting June 6, 2020

All members have been mailed the formal notice of the second annual meeting which we had planned to hold in Orange County at The Hills Hotel in Laguna Hills, however, due to the COVID-19 situation, your Board has decided that for the safety of the members it would be best to hold the meeting by video conference/telephonically. We welcome you to attend the meeting to get your questions answered and hear about the 'state of the union.' You will receive a notice by email closer to the meeting date with details about how to view the meeting. Please show your Ocho Cascadas pride by returning your proxy to Trading Places by Thursday, June 4, 2020. Your vote counts! If you have any questions that you would like management, your Board of Directors, or your sales team to answer, please turn them into the droadmin@tradingplaces.com by the June 4, 2020 deadline .

Ocho Cascadas Member Survey

At this year’s annual meeting on June 6th, five Members of the Association will be elected to serve on the Board of Directors. To assist the new Board of Directors and allow them to know what matters most to the Members, we would like every member to complete and return the Ocho Cascadas Member Survey. The survey is posted to the website in two locations under the Ownership tab: at the bottom of the Overview page and under your Owners Corner. Election of the Board of Directors

This is a very important year for the Association. At this year’s annual meeting, we will be electing a whole new Board. Five Members will be elected to serve either a two- or three-year term. Please turn in your proxy to Trading Places by June 4th.

Hotel Patio Azul Next Door

The hotel next door has opened its’ doors for business. Board Member Mark Giddings visited Puerto Vallarta recently, but was unable to stay at Ocho Cascadas because every villa was occupied by a Member, so he decided to make a reservation and stay next door at the Hotel Patio Azul. Mark found that the rooms are simple, but clean. Staff is friendly and their restaurant was simple, but convenient.

Ocho Cascadas Members receive 10% off all food and beverage at their onsite restaurant if you visit. We always want you to make Ocho Cascadas your first choice for staying in Puerto Vallarta, but if you have extra guests, or want to come in a few days early, and we are unable to accommodate you, please consider staying with at the neighboring Hotel Patio Azul. You may make reservations online here.

Summertime Fun

We have several open villas from June to September. Please tell your friends and family about beautiful Ocho Cascadas and encourage them to come down for a visit. For availability, please contact Dave Stoenner in the U.S. office or Luisa Anderson on-site. Puerto Vallarta in summer is beautiful, filled with tropical rainstorms and many fun activities for the whole family.

Rules and Regs

To make the Ocho Cascadas experience the best possible for all members and guests, your Board of Directors along with management have adopted a few simple Rules and Regulations. Please be sure any guest using your villa is made aware of the Rules and Regulations to avoid any problems or embarrassment on-site.
